The technology Rubik’s cube of today, solved tomorrow

The disruptive word is being put to the test in today’s world. There are emerging technologies that are surfacing and creating ripples in all dimensions. Most of these technologies were always around and amongst us, just that we had recognized the actual potential only when the businesses were put under the pressure of cost, risk, credibility, competition, and profitability. When there was nowhere else to go, we turned to these technologies. We started excavating deep to discover and assemble one piece to conceive the new age business models for ambitious business moments.

Let’s use the analogy of a Rubik’s cube. Let the ABCDE’s (Artificial Intelligence: Analytics: Automation – BlockChain – Cloud – Digital – Edge computing) be the colored squares on the Rubik’s cube. As per the game’s standard rule, the moves that we make should map and collect similar colors in one surface, respectively, in our context, placing these technologies independently and Soloing them.

The approach is not to solve and keep on changing the permutations and combinations of the colored squares

The fact is these technologies can do more good in collaboration than in silos. There must be a perfect balance to complement the respective strengths and complete the mutual gaps presently as these technologies are figuring out how to connect, and so are we. We combine them for our benefit. Now the beauty is, these combinations will pave the path to new possibilities and impossible solutions.

In the past these known technologies were enablers, and now they are the inevitable value propositions. And the rest like blockchain, edge computing, and IoE (Internet Of Everything) is the product of ambitious and essential demands of security, convenience, and insight for things that we do and we are surrounded by. Now the time has come to familiarize me with these self-evolving and self-establishing technologies that are growing on top of ever-living internet and infrastructure platforms. Until today they were thriving on human evolution and contribution, but now they have started pairing and coupling with other technological and non-technical entities. The war of supremacy and monopoly is about to begin if not already started for adoption and worthiness amongst the technologies and the technology partners.

Pointer

The best part or the advantage of these technologies is that any one of these can act as a base platform and let the other capabilities build on top of them. This is based on use cases and business requirements.

Disruptive technologies are gradually maturing into stable and open platforms to host one another. When any one of these technologies can become a base platform, the other capabilities/platforms can become core components and value propositions.

Most of these combinations are already being explored, leading to various new products and services that are the need of the hour to all business units and sectors (Banking & Financial, Retail & Consumer, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and others).

There is no right or a wrong way of combining these capabilities/platforms as we are as bold as we think and as adventurous as we explore.
