WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Research analyst supports the Lead Analyst driving the competitive market study aligned to BPO/ITO services industry verticals by providing market intelligence required to evaluate and deduce observations. The Research Analyst will also assist Lead analyst in drafting report components like executive summary, study context, provider information, provider profiles, and focused writing (technology, business, services, solutions).
PROFILE
- A conceptual understanding of the IT infrastructure, software, and service provider landscape.
- The RA (Research Analyst) prospect profile must have worked on projects inclining toward market research and competitive analysis.
- The ability to discover relevant information from all digital media sources about a provider and analyze quantitative/qualitative data to infer findings, observations, and citations.
- Build a perspective based on data constituting primary (Qualitative) and secondary research.
- Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills supported by excel and power-point hands-on experience.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The research analyst plays a crucial role in the competitive study’s success
- RA will be associated with one study and one lead analyst to support maximum 3 regions.
- Data analysis, interpretation, and data visualization highlighting key takeaways.
- Adhere to the defined research process and all checkpoints listed.
- Support the Lead Analyst with provider information and market intelligence.
- Follow the guidance and procedure suggested by the Lead author for collating provider information.
- Mandate to attend the study project meetings and share the updates and actions.
- The research analyst will own the process of compiling primary and secondary information across digital technologies, industries, and ecosystems as per the associated study.
- Capture/record study information in multiple templates, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, graphs, reports, use cases, SWOT and comparative analysis.
TECHNOLOGIES & SERVICES AREAS: Not a must but good to have
- Methodology & Framework awareness: IT Service Management, SIAM, DevOps, Scrum e.t.c
- Industry association: It will be an added advantage to have worked in an industry vertical (Banking, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Product experience (OEM) Etc.
- Technology information: Digital, Cloud (Any or all hyperscalers), Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, tech products/platforms and the application (ERP/SaaS) domain.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Operational Activities
The participation of research analysts in the following 3 phases:
- Phase 1: Study preparation and launch

- RA to understand the core study aspects from the lead author.
- RA will work on listing out the providers mapping to respective quadrants
- Align, verify, and find relevant contacts for identified provider companies.
- Questionnaire (RFI – Request for Information) edit, customize, and compile questions.
- Phase 2: Research Phase

- Conduct secondary research on the suggested regional providers by filling the secondary research template. (Template available)
- RA will attend all briefing calls with the lead author (Template available)
- Take briefing notes in the form of SWOT documentation. (Template available)
- Support in finalizing grids by populating few parameters for all or listed service providers respectively.
- Phase 3: Reporting writing

- Authoring regional Enterprise context
- Writing Global summary
- Authoring SWOT draft write-ups
RIGHT CANDIDATE: Ideal candidate must have
- IT Industry Overview with 2 to 5 years of experience in Information and Knowledge Management.
- Association with Business Unit, Technology Function and any Industry experience is welcome.
- It will be an added benefit to have worked in the Research domain, Analyst relations, and any competitive study projects.
COMPENSATION:
- Study based fixed price engagement (per study per month)
- The duration of the study will last between 3 to 4 months.
- Work location: Remote
- An offer for a full time or extended contracting engagement can be discussed post-performance review on the 1st assignment
