WHO YOU’ll WORK WITH

Lead Analyst (LA) is a highly acclaimed position in the industry that guides, analyses, and presents a perspective on assessing services, technologies, and providers. The Lead analyst identifies trends and offers a unique viewpoint in reports and research studies. A structured research process allows data interpretation to create actionable insights for (CxO-Level) business leaders. Inside the research study, you will cover the specific region (US/UK/EU) market for respective Technology/Services/Ecosystem/Industry services/and platforms.

  • LAs are experienced researchers and excellent authors for the industries/subject areas and emerging technologies.
  • They observe the current market trends to develop insights helping enterprise and end-user communities.
  • They highlight regional nuances and market behavior in the research/study designs and formulate the methodology to capture information during RFI and briefings.
  • LAs are aware of the markets and can foresee technology trajectories to map and recommend positioning to the providers and end-users. As a result, they are thought leaders and confident on stage, and they get quoted in the media.

 

PROFILE KEY CHARACTERISTICS

  • The profile must have an impressive professional background with international exposure.
  • Exhibit a solid experiential career path representing expertise in the respective industries/subject.
  • Proven experience in technical and business writing with good knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Analytical, articulative, and conversational skills to engage with the CXO community to conduct workshops and custom projects.
  • Must have a comprehensive view of the latest trends and developments in the industry’s service provider, technology, and software (platforms).


TIME & SCHEDULE:

The duration of the research project (Study) will be around 3-4 months, with an average of two hours a day of effort.



WORK DELIVERY MODE:  

Virtual office. A laptop on request.



ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate / align research efforts with all other applicable regions LA’s: The role as Regional Lead will require interactions with research client organizations advisors on the Quality and Consistency Review & Quality Team (QRCT) to integrate their points of view.
  • Work with project managers and other study team members to approve schedule and content changes.
  • Lead the research effort for a region and maintain end-to-end responsibility for the content of the quadrant reports.
  • Support the publicity of studies in the introductory phase and accompany the selling phase with at least one blog post on social media channels such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Ensure a cross-regional consistency check of the regional deliveries.

 

LEAD ANALYST – STUDY PHASES & FOCUS AREAS:

  • LA’s to strictly adhere to the project timelines and deliverables listed and discussed in the weekly project status calls.
  • Work closely and leverage the support extended by Research & Data analyst
    • Support provided to LA: 1 Research analyst & 1 Data analyst
  • Participate and contribute to all phases of research
    • Stage 1: Study launch – Brochure & Questionnaire
    • Stage 2: Grid finalization – Provider rating & positioning
    • Stage 3: Report writing – Provider profile & report writing

 

DELIVERABLES FOR RESEARCH REPORTS

  1. Report Creation activity: Following are the activities that LA is accountable for the following activities
    • Suggest (updated) quadrant definitions and eligibility criteria that are an essential part of each study brochure – agree to the scope of each quadrant.
    • Create or update survey questions required to assess service providers’ capability and strengths that match assessment criteria found in the brochure and the 7×7 scoring matrix.
    • Recommend/review a list of service providers to be considered in the report.
    • Help encourage and facilitate service provider participation in completing the survey.
    • Conduct briefings and collect marketing collateral with all participating service providers to complete the Research 7×7 scoring matrix.
    • Analyze the survey responses and other data to assign scores to each parameter of the 7×7 scoring matrix.
    • Identify quadrant leaders/rising stars and write a summary page and a brief SWOT for each Leader and Rising Star and additional profiles for others as needed.
    • Respond to, determine acceptance or rejection, and close all provider edits received during the Fact Check process.
  1. Manage Research: Guide the research and data teams to conduct secondary research
    • Communicate weekly progress to the Project Manager and collaborate with the team inside the research client organization’s platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
    • Adhere to published milestone dates.
    • Follow actions outlined in the Project Plan as agreed with the Project Manager.
    • Join status calls and briefings during the research phase.
    • Participate in all Sneak Preview meetings to review positioning and SWOTs with providers identified as Leaders or Rising Stars.
