IT and work sourcing trends will shape how enterprises approach the service providers for their tech needs. For example, the listed movement in the infographic emphasizes how work (predominantly IT ) is delivered using incremental and advanced technologies with time and maturity. This undoubtedly increases flexibility and agility, reduces costs, and boosts efficiency significantly.
Suppose we track how the work-delegation trajectory has transformed from humans to entities, entities to Technology, Technology to algorithms, algorithms to the Ecosystem, and finally, Ecosystem to code. The next thing is how the augmentation of all the available sources will converge into a fabric-like structure to shift the significant work to be delivered by tech products & platforms.
Enterprise is a perpetuating system of linked organic and inorganic processes that respond to internal and external changes to generate continuous, comprehensive, and coherent value.

Change, strategy, and Management are three critical capability areas that drive the objective of an enterprise. These three capabilities must be treated as faculty (ongoing research), not functions (specific application) which is an oversight causing deviations and distractions. The factorial of these three capabilities defines the enterprise’s scale, growth, and competence. Now, as these combinations of change, strategy, and Management usually become dynamic but the bolstering elements of agility, resiliency, and sustainability are always associated with the complementing capability as depicted in the diagram. Enterprises have survived and thrived through time, utilizing the best possible technology and aggregated knowledge from every subject and object involved in value generation processes. However, today when these processes transition from one Medium (Physical) to another (Digital), are we recognizing the information, skill, process, and systems left behind only to decommission or disintegrate? These suddenly become obsolete or unnecessary.
Hence, the transformation strategy should also include the mechanism to repurpose all the residual enterprise attributes. And the new journey from Transformation to a future state will leave the enterprise in a shortfall of similar characteristics due to revised requirements.
